Clipper Race leaves Jamaica for New York

PORTLAND, Jamaica – The fleet of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race left the Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio, Portland, Saturday, for New York, after having docked here for a week on the twelfth leg of the race.

Henri Lloyd’s latest win, one of the closest yet by just 31 seconds, strengthens their lead in the overall race standings with a total of 120.9 points, just under nine points ahead of second place GREAT Britain, who are on 112 points.

Clinging to third place is OneDLL with 104 points which, along with Derry~Londonderry~Doire sitting in fourth with 97 points, had a disappointing run into Jamaica after recent good form, finishing in seventh and ninth places, respectively.

After claiming a podium finish in third place into Jamaica, Switzerland is now 10 points behind in fifth place, with 87 points, and Qingdao is sitting in sixth on 79 points.

There is still about 60 points up for grabs in the remaining races, so the closing stages of the Clipper 2013-2014 Race are set to be fiercely competitive and as the final stages play out.

From Excel to slides in minutes — Claude now works inside your spreadsheet and your deck
The books close on Tuesday; the board deck used to take until Friday. Claude now works inside both Excel and PowerPoint — and because the two add-ins share one conversation, this month’s numbers flow from the workbook into the deck without a single copy-paste.
