Jamaica’s Demario Prince and Jerome Campbell are through to Monday’s final of the 110m hurdles after both placed second in their semi-final heat in the opening session of track and field at the Commonwealth Games at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow, Scotland.

National champion Prince ran a wind-aided 13.27 seconds (2.9m/s) to finish behind Milan Trajkovic of Cyprus, who ran 13.21 seconds.

Campbell clocked a wind-aided 13.33 seconds (2.1m/s) in his semi-final, beaten to the line by England’s Samuel Bennett, who ran 13.20 seconds.

The final is set to be run in the afternoon session, 3:45 pm Jamaican time.

Meanwhile, Rohan Watson advanced to Tuesday’s semi-final in the men’s 100m after he won his first round race with 10.13 seconds (1.5m/s).

In the semi-final, he will be joined by Ackeem Blake, who drew a bye.

Also advancing were the Ghanaian pair of Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu as well as Jeremiah Azu of Wales and Favour Ashe of Nigeria.

Former World Athletics Champion Tajay Gayle led the qualifying for Wednesday’s final of the men’s long jump with 8.10m (0.1m/s) and will be joined by Jordan Turner, who had a wind-aided 7.84m (4.2m/s).
