OCHO RIOS, Jamaica — The St Ann police were kept busy over the weekend with four murders in the north coast parish. All four murders were committed in communities under the Ocho Rios police command.

The first victim, Courtney Edwards, a 34-year-old taxi operator was shot and killed and his motor vehicle stolen on Friday at about 9:30 pm in the Warrick Mount, Great Pond area.

The second murder occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning when 23-year-old Rohan Wright was reportedly shot multiple times by gunmen in Moneague.

And on Sunday afternoon a truck driver, Robert Blake from Steer Town and Lime Hall in the parish and his sideman Horace Hamilton of Steer Town, were attacked as they drove through Pimento Walk, a community outside Ocho Rios. Both men died at the scene.

The Ocho Rios police have since taken into custody three men for questioning in relation to Sunday’s killings.

Head of the Ocho Rios police Assistant Superintendent of Police Throyville Haughton said that his team was doing “everything in their powers to solve the crimes”.

Haughton added that the police are not ruling out the possibility of a link in the murders.
