Senior JCF officers promoted
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of nine Deputy Superintendents of Police to the rank of Superintendent and four Superintendents to the rank of Senior Superintendent in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
The newly appointed Superintendents of Police are: Bertram Lee, Clarendon Division; Alden Davis, St Catherine Major Investigations Task Force; Melvin Brown, Mounted Troop Division; Gary Francis, St James Division; Clive Walker, Criminal Investigation Branch Headquarters (CIB HQ); Steven Moodie, Detention and Courts; Lanford Salmon, St. Elizabeth Division; Michael Simpson, Transport and Repairs Division; and Steve Brown, JCF Corporate Communications Unit (CCU).
The four newly appointed Senior Superintendents of Police are: Cleon March, Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force (MOCA); Marlon Nesbeth, Manchester Division; Calvin Small, Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division (TCND); and Vance Carter, National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
The Commission also appointed 15 Sergeants to the rank of Inspector, while 18 Inspectors and two Assistant Superintendents were appointed to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. The appointments took effect on Tuesday, April, 1, 2014.
