Lawyers representing the widow of late broadcaster Dervan Malcolm have threatened legal action against blogger Milton Wray, otherwise known as “119”, over alleged false and defamatory remarks he made about her on social media in connection with the death of her husband.

The legal team of Patrice Hussey Malcolm says the remarks, published on platforms such as TikTok and Youtube, have caused “significant distress, embarrassment, humiliation and reputational injury” to its client.

“Your statements were not merely criticism or commentary. They constituted a sustained and deliberate campaign of public vilification, harassment, intimidation, bullying and degradation directed at our client,” wrote senior counsel Anthony Williams, managing partner of USIM, Williams and Company Attorneys-At –Law, in a letter to Wray and shared with Observer Online.

Williams noted that the firm has been instructed that “there are ongoing issues and disagreements” within the family of the late Dervan Malcolm, and that an alleged incident was “fabricated and circulated by several persons in an attempt to cause strife with our client and discredit her in the eyes of the public. Our client maintains that these accounts are untrue, misleading, and have no factual basis.”

“It’s a total fabrication and propaganda by the blogger,” Williams claimed in an interview with Observer Online.

In the meantime, the law firm is demanding that Wray immediately seize and desist from “publishing, republishing, repeating or communicating” the allegations against Hussey Malcolm and “immediately remove” the “offending videos” from Tiktok, Youtube and other social media platforms.

Wray is also being demanded to produce a written and verbal apology to Hussey Malcolm and enter into negotiations to pay compensation for the alleged defamation of her, as well as her legal costs, by noon Friday, September 11, 2026.

According to the firm, failure to comply with its demands will result in the company commencing legal proceedings against Wray in the Supreme Court.
