Female among 4 St James residents nabbed in St Catherine for lottery scamming
ST JAMES, Jamaica — A female was among four St James residents arrested by detectives from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-corruption task force (MOCA) Act in Glengoffe, St Catherine yesterday morning (Saturday, June 7) on suspicion of lottery scamming.
The four, all of Ironshore, St James addresses, were held about 6:00 am by detectives from MOCA, assisted by members of the St Catherine North Police and the Flying Squad in an operation conducted in the Grateful Hill community of Glengoffe.
During a search of a premises, paraphernalia related to lottery scamming, including several lists containing identity and contact information of individuals living overseas, were allegedly found. The four, whose ages range from 17 to 22 years are slated to be questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
