Weep Not, says Khalilah
ROOTS reggae singer Khalilah Rose is currently promoting her latest single Weep Not.
“I recorded this song to open up the eyes of the people about the wickedness of the world. There are so much bad things going on out there. Some people out there are dedicated to the mass destruction of humanity, but Jah will not let them succeed,” she said.
Produced by Dean Fraser and Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith, the song was released last month.
For the Portland-born artiste, music is the medium for her messages.
“It’s about the messages …it’s about delivering the truth, the reality and dark to light. I don’t stop and look back at what I’ve accomplished or what I’ve acquired, or what I’ve impacted. It’s not about me, it’s about Rastafari and the messages I-and-I delivering,” she said.
