VIDEO: Meet the CHALLENGERS

THE final selection has been made. For the next three months, seven readers will vie to become #GYMKfit, and to be the holder of the inaugural “I’M GYMKFit” trophy in the Jamaica Observer/Gymkhana Fitness Challenge.

They each have different goals but one thing in common — they all want to be better versions of themselves. They have accepted the challenge and through proper diet and, exercise, are committed to making that a reality.

Do not miss a beat, watch them as they transform and try to meet their goals.

They will each have a certified personal trainer who will devise individualised plans to get them to where they want to be. They each have a story and expectations but a lot is also expected of them.

“We can all be winners if we follow our guidelines as we aim for our goals,” said Gymkhana General Manager Peter Morris.

Morris told the challengers that the trainers are the professionals who will help them set realistic but challenging goals.

“We are not going to set a goal that is unachievable,” said Morris, adding that the trainers will provide the guidance and skills necessary to get to where they want to be. All they have to do is show up prepared to work and follow the guidelines as best as they can.

Through Gymkhana, the challengers will also have access to a nutritionist and physical therapist if that is what is determined they need.

From weight loss goals and wanting a more defined body to being an inspiration to other family members, the challengers are in it to win it!
