Commonwealth Games: Jamaica qualify for women’s 4x100m relay final
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Jamaica’s women’s 4x100m relay team secured heat two of the event to go through to tomorrow’s final at the Hampden Park Stadium in Glasgow, Scotland.
Drawn in lane two, the team of Kerron Stewart, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Elaine Thompson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce ran a time of 42.44 seconds, equalling the Commonwealth record, to finish ahead of England (43.33 seconds); Canada was third in 43.66 seconds.
