Margaritaville Jamaica announces plans for public equity offering within 90 days

ST JAMES, Jamaica—Margaritaville Jamaica, which includes Margaritaville Montego Bay, Margaritaville Negril, Margaritaville Ocho Rios and Marguerites Seafood by the Sea, on Tuesday announced its intention to raise equity through a proposed public offering within the next 90 days, working with Mayberry Investments and JMMB.

The proposed offering would provide members of the public with an opportunity to acquire an ownership interest in the Jamaica-based tourism business and participate in its future performance.

The announcement comes as the company looks ahead with confidence to the 2026/2027 winter tourism season, which it anticipates will be strong.

Ian Dear, chairman of Margaritaville Caribbean Group, said the planned offering represents an important milestone for the business and an opportunity to broaden participation in Jamaica’s tourism industry.

“Jamaica has demonstrated remarkable resilience and continues to prove its strength and long-term appeal as a tourism destination. As we look ahead to what we anticipate will be a strong 2026/2027 winter season, we are excited about the immediate future of Margaritaville Jamaica,” Dear said.

“We are especially pleased at the prospect of giving the public an opportunity to become shareholders in our Jamaican operations and share in the value we aim to create through future growth and profitability. Tourism is central to Jamaica’s economy, and we believe there is tremendous value in widening the opportunity for ownership within the sector.”

Through its Margaritaville locations in Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios, alongside the fine dining experience at Marguerites Seafood by the Sea, the business offers a range of dining, entertainment and hospitality experiences serving both residents and visitors.

Further details, including the size, pricing, structure and terms of the proposed offering, will be announced as arrangements are finalised, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and approvals.
