Sagicor set to buy Hilton Rose Hall
THE Sagicor Group is set to make another major investment in the tourism sector with the purchase of the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa in St James.
The 489-room property, which sits on 400 acres, was once part of the Wyndham Group and is owned by the Blackstone Group. The purchase, when finalised, will give Sagicor its fourth hotel, the others being Jewel Resorts in Mammee Bay, Runaway Bay, and Paradise Cove, all in St Ann.
The Hilton Rose Hall is expected to be rebranded a Jewel resort.
A Sagicor official last night confirmed the intended purchase but said the final sale price will be disclosed after the deal is signed.
