UPDATE: Man killed in Westmoreland gun attack identified

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Police have identified the man who was shot dead by unknown assailants here early Saturday.

He is 35-year-old Barington Blake of Providence Heights, Flanker in St James.

OBSERVER ONLINE learnt that about 4:00 am Blake and a group of men were at a premises when armed men, claiming to be police officers, barged in and opened gunfire at them.

Blake died at the scene while another man was taken to hospital where he has since been admitted.
