Harbour View make it two-in-a-row

BY HURBUN WILLIAMS

Observer writer

Sporting Central Academy………0

Harbour View defeated Sporting Central Academy 2-0 in a rescheduled Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) game at the Harbour View mini stadium on Wednesday.

Ranique Muir and John-Ross Edwards scored a goal in each half to clinch victory as the club celebrated its 41st year of existence. Following a very lean period in which they had to reshuffle their coaching staff, Harbour View were chalking up their second win in four days following a similar 2-0 defeat of cellar-placed Barbican on Sunday.

The ‘Stars of the East’ looked a bit more industrious on the front line, while the back-end they looked a lot more secured.

The real difference between the teams was the fact that Harbour View scored and Sporting Central did not.

Following their late arrival for the game due to transportation problems, Sporting Central set about to play some attractive football, but as is now the norm for the Clarendon-based team, despite controlling play they left the pitch after 90 minutes empty handed.

Teams: Harbour View — Michaud Barrett, Dejanni Isaacs, Christopher Harvey, Damian Anderson, Rosario Harriott, Nicholas Beckett, John-Ross Edwards, Kevaughn Frater (Anthony Greenland 26th), Jermaine Hue (Demarley Oliver 88th), McKaully Tulloch (Damian Harwood 80th), Ranique Muir

Subs not used: Levor Williams, Mark Miller, Stephen Arnett, Savian Maxwellw

Booked: Frater (12th)

Sporting Central — Allien Whittaker, Linval Wilson, Dale Watson (Scean Fogah 68th), Rupert Murray, Andre Thomas, Camaal Reid, Ricardo Martin (Renoir Elliott 68th), Mikhail Howell, Kevaun Atkinson (Kemar Reid 65th), Raylon Paisley, Cory Hylton

Subs not used: Michael Moreland, Oneil Lacey, Romoy Parkins, Otis Friend

Booked: Murray (36th), Hylton (76th)

Referee: Kevin Morrison

Assistant Referees: Omar Mills, Damian Williams

Fourth Official: Tyrone Robinson

Match Commissioner: Charles Barrett
