Man to face court for breaches of Larceny Act

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police say a man has been arrested and charged for breaches of the Larceny Act.

In custody is 41-year-old Darren Blake of Salisbury Avenue, Kingston 10.

Reports are that between December 2014 and January 2015, Blake allegedly sold four motor vehicles on behalf of the owners but failed to pay over the total sum of money that was due.

It is said that in February 2015, the complainants made reports to the Fraud Squad and investigations commenced, leading to his arrest on Friday March 13.

He was questioned in the presence of his attorney on Saturday March 14 and was subsequently charged with fraudulent conversion.

He is to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday, March 20, 2015.
