PriceSmart Jamaica gives back
PRICESMART Jamaica said it continues to support charitable initiatives that seek to improve the social and economic development of the country with its first donation for the year going to the Spicy Grove Children’s Home and Youth Center in St Mary.
For more than eight years, Warm Whispers Ministries, operators of Spicy Grove Children’s Home and Youth Center, has devoted its energy to advocate for the hungry, needy and uneducated children and youth. This centre also partners with Food For The Poor to supply needy families with food and furniture.
Each year Pricesmart Jamaica donates merchandise to at least five non-profit organisations through its Price Philanthropies Foundation.
The US-based foundation was created in 1983 by co-founder of the Pricesmart chain of membership shopping clubs Sol Price and his wife Helen.
