Flames, Duanvale in key clash today
DUNCANS, Trelawny – Second-placed teams Flames FC and Duanvale FC will meet in a Zone One game in the Trelawny Football Association Monymusk Plantation Rum Major League at Sea-Road field today at 3:30 pm with the winners joining leaders Coopers Pen for at least 24 hours.
Both are on seven points each, trailing Coopers Pen on 10 with Classic United on six points in fourth place.
Also today, Harmony FC take on Wakefield SC at Bounty Hall, Upsetters and Prospect Links will meet at Carey Park, and Clarks Town and Kinloss will meet at Cedric Titus High.
On Sunday, Baca Star United and Spicy Hill meet at Elleston Wakeland, while Classic United meet Coopers Pen at Blackwin.
Flames FC are coming off a big 5-1 battering by Coopers Pen where Shaunavan McKenzie scored four times on Tuesday to take his tally to nine goals and will be seeking to rebound against Duanvale FC, who were held 1-1 by Prospect Link on Monday.
Former champions Harmony FC will seek to keep digging themselves out of the hole they are in, only four points from four games, when they take on last-placed Wakefield All-Stars at Bounty Hall also on Saturday.
