Maverley scored first on a 37th-minute strike from Roderick Williams from the penalty spot.
Richards equalised with a free kick from just outside the area. But Maverley again took the lead when Akeem Anglin scored in minute 86.
Three minutes later, Seaview defender Shawn McDonald rose above the Maverley defence to make it 2-2.
