MoBay Chamber of Commerce gets 2nd female president

MONTEGO BAY, St James – Gloria Henry, assistant vice-president of operations and customer relations of the Montego Bay Free Zone was unanimously elected as president of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI) at the annual general meeting of the MBCCI, that is now under way at the Wexford Hotel in Montego Bay, St James.

She replaces prominent Montego Bay lawyer Nathan Robb, who she unsuccessfully challenged for the post last year. Robb served in the post for two consecutive terms.

Henry, who served as second vice-president during the last term, is the second female member of the Chamber to be elevated to the presidency of the MBCCI, a feat first attained by the late Pauline Reid.

In the meantime, Sonia Clarke Bowen was elected first vice-president. She was also elected unopposed.

Leroy Reid and Brian Brown were voted second vice-president and third vice-president, respectively.
