Suspect in Claremont murders reports to police
SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — A suspect in last week’s murder of four farmers at Claremont in remote north-west St Elizabeth has turned himself in to the police.
An authoritative police source said the man, whose name is being withheld, turned himself in at the Santa Cruz Police station on Thursday afternoon accompanied by his lawyer.
Archibald Brown, 60, his brother George Brown, 57, Maurice Sanderson, 40, and Ezra Wright, 73 were shot dead on the night of Wednesday, May 27 in Claremont, near Ginger Hill on the fringes of the rugged Cockpit Country, close to the St Elizabeth/St James border.
