Suited for summer
SLEEK, elegant, classy are some of the words used the describe the 2014 World Car of the Year: the Audi A3.
Its slinky lines and distinct styles have made the A3 brand a ‘must-have’ for young professionals, entreprenuers as well as those who deserve the finer things in life.
With this in mind, local dealer ATL Automotive on Wednesday launched a summer campaign tailor-made for the discerning customer.
“With each purchase of an Audi A3 sedan or hatchback, the customer gets the chance to own a bespoke two-piece suit from top designer Carlton Brown,” Deborah Stewart, Audi marketing manager, told Auto.
“The customer will determine the colour, fabric, design… and offer is for both male and female,” Stewart continued.
The campaign — which involves the 1.2-litre and 1.8- litre turbo models — runs for remaining days in July.
Brown — one of Jamaica’s top designers and a judge in the local reality television series Mission Catwalk — said the Audi A3 and his brand are ideally suited.
“The Audi A3 represents what I’m about… clean lines and a perfect fit,” the designer told Auto.
The east Kingston-based Brown was mentored by Andrew Ramroop, the first ever black master tailor to head the prestigious Savile Row tailors in London.
His clientele includes government ministers, corporate executive and entertainers. Globally, Audi’s involvement with high fashion is well documented.
The annual Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore features some of the world’s most revered designers, top models, red carpet fashion galas and glamorous afterparties.
