JAMAICA’S National Under-20 Reggae Girlz are fine-tuning their preparations for participation in the 2015 Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-20 Qualifiers.

The squad trained last evening at the Stadium East and were slated to train today when they play a practice game at 9:00 am at St George’s College.

The squad retains some 14 members of Jamaica’s last national Under-17 squad who participated in the CONCACAF Under-17 Championships in Montego Bay in November 2013.

The Girlz are drawn in Group Two of the first-leg qualifiers to be played in St Lucia, July 26-30 with Grenada being the third and final team in the Group. They play their first game on Sunday against Grenada.

The squad departs the island on Friday for St Lucia.

After this leg the Final CFU Round will be played in Haiti, from October 16-25.

This means that for the first time in a long time all three ages/levels of our female footballers are engaged in international competitive football at the same time. Our National Under-17 Girlz just qualified for the Second CFU Round to be played in Puerto Rico in November and the Senior Olympic squad will bow into action on August 19 in the Dominican Republic.
