Tropical storm might become hurricane on Thursday – Met Office
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth tropical storm of the 2015 hurricane season has formed in the eastern Atlantic, about 1,665 miles east of the Windward Islands.
Meteorologists predict that the storm, named Danny, will upgrade to a hurricane on Thursday.
At 4:00 pm today, the centre of tropical storm Danny was located near latitude 10.9 degrees north and longitude 37.5 degrees west or about 2,565 kilometres east of the Windward Islands.
Tropical storm Danny is moving toward the west near 19km/h. A motion toward the west is expected tonight, followed by a turn toward the west-northwest on Wednesday.
However, at this time, tropical storm Danny is not a threat to Jamaica
