Mona School of Business teams with JNN to improve business coverage
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM) and Jamaica News Network (JNN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to make issues relating to equities, bonds, currencies, and commodities more easily understood by the wider public.
The MSBM, which focuses on remaining the premier business and management in the region, says it is acutely aware that it must offer a value proposition that is relevant, distinctive and appealing to all its stakeholders.
“One of the school’s strategic objectives, ‘to produce employable graduates’, is central to satisfying the needs in the markets that it serves, contribute to national development, and perpetually reinforce its reputation,” a release from the school said.
“This MOU creates a platform for the organizations to contribute to national development — by demystifying transactions relating to equities, bonds, currencies, and commodities for the wider public – and moves the school closer to fulfilling its strategic imperatives,” it stated.
“Indeed, this MOU provides a medium for the partners to expose, analyse and interpret happenings across various markets that may impact Jamaica in these interconnected fast-paced global markets,” it added.
The MOU was signed recently at a function at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
