ITS been three years since singer Da’Ville released the album Krazy Love, his last major project. He returns with Steal my Girl, a song released by his Global Merchant Music Group LLC.

It is a cover of the hit song by British boy group One Direction. Da’Ville, who is in his late 30s, said though a break from entertainment was good, a return was inevitable.

“Music is my first and real love, it never fail me yet. Truth be told, I think for a while I was the one failing it, so now it’s time for me to put it all back into perspective and do what I was chosen to do…plain, simple, fun, exciting relevant music that will stand the test of time,” he said.

Da’Ville hit the charts big time in 2006 with a self-produced lovers rock double: Always on my Mind and This Time I Promise. The former was a massive hit in Jamaica and topped reggae charts in North America.

For Da’Ville, having a presence in Jamaica is still important.

“No matter where I go, I always maintain that Jamaica is where it all began for me,” he said. “Home is where my heart is, so for me it is of major importance to have a hit in Jamaica.”
