THE Jamaica Urban Transit Company’s (JUTC) Double Day Promotion returns tomorrow, where holders of the bus company’s Smarter Cards will get double the amount credited to their accounts.

The promotion, dubbed the ‘Back-to-School Double Day’, starts at all JUTC locations at 4:30 in the morning. The locations are the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre; JUTC office at East Parade in downtown Kingston; the JUTC Portmore Office at Shop 126B Greater Portmore Shopping Centre; and the Spanish Town Transport Centre.

“Commuters will also be pleased to know that the JUTC is continuing to increase the number of points of sale at which they can top. The number of point of sale locations now stands at 55, spread throughout the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Region and St Catherine,” the JUTC said in a release.

The Carter Hall at Holy Cross Church, Half-Way-Tree Road will be used as the top-up centre for senior citizens and special needs customers.

Meanwhile, the Suretime Medical Services, as it did during the May 16 promotion, will be offering free medical consultations to the people topping up at Carter Hall.

The JUTC said that although the promotion has been dubbed Back-to -School Double Day, it is for all commuters with Smarter Cards.
