JLP discontinues WC St Catherine candidate selection
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Opposition Jamaica Labour party (JLP) says its selection committee has met and a decision was taken to discontinue the selection process in West Central St Catherine.
The JLP release issued to the media on Saturday said to this end, all persons contesting for the candidacy were directed to cease all political activities in the constituency.
It said the party is doing everything to ensure there is justice and transparency in the process.
The party will not be discussing its internal affairs in public. The matter will be settled in an appropriate time-frame and the results will be communicated to the public the release added.
