Former NSWMA manager back in court Friday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The trial of corruption accused former National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) manager and JLP North East St Catherine constituency executive member, Mark Rodney, is set to resume.
Rodney is to return to the Corporate Area Criminal Court tomorrow where the crown is expected to outline the final details of their case against him.
Rodney was jailed in 2012. He was charged with obtaining J$160,000,000 by illicit means from the NSWMA.
Defence Attorney Peter Champagnie is expected to make a no-case submission when the Crown closes its case.
Rodney, who in 2007 acted as Campaign Manager for the outgoing North East St Catherine MP Gregory Mair, resigned from the solid waste management agency following the allegations.
