TA: How did you get started?

GF: It really all started in primary school; I went to Naggo Head Primary which was based on tracks so it just felt right.

TA: What do you enjoy most about the sport?

GF: Winning of course! But seriously I love the competition; it just gives me a rush.

TA: What was your favourite moment in the sport?

GF: I don’t have a favourite moment really, for me it’s all about spending time with my time and in the sport itself.

TA: What is the biggest benefit you have gotten from the sport?

GF: The joy I get when I compete for my school or country, I just really love to do it.

TA: What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened to you at a track meet?

GF: Oh wow, one time when I was doing my run up to approach the bar I jumped and slipped. It was raining at the time though.

TA: Who is your favourite athlete and why?

GF: Blanka Vlasic, because she’s a role model to all high jumpers and her form is so beautiful and I really admire how graceful she looks when she jumps.

TA: Who inspires you and why?

GF: My mom, because she’s always had my back and supported me in all my track related decisions, plus she gave me life so yeah.

TA: Where do you see yourself Five years from now?

GF: Finishing College with a Master’s Degree in teaching hopefully.

TA: If you didn’t have Track and Field, what would you be doing now?

GF: Wow, I guess I would have done swimming or maybe tennis. One of those sports probably.

TA: Message to fans/friends/foes?

GF: Train hard and not only will you be hard but you’ll be harder to beat.
