Facebook gets dislike button
Social media giant Facebook is set to add a “dislike” button. This was announced by the social media network’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg at a town hall meeting today in California at their Menlo Park head office.
According to the 31 year old Billionaire, the function is currently under construction and can be expected to be launched by the social networking site soon.
In the past, Facebook has resisted calls from users to introduce a “dislike” button, due to apprehensions that it would be unpopular with brands on the website.
According to Zuckerberg, “what they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment”. Whilst he did not give a definite date for the launch of the feature he stated that the process has begun and that it is surprisingly complicated to make an interaction that will be simple.
And so finally, people who still use Facebook can do something other than sarcastically like things they want to dislike.
