Enlightening quotes on chiropractic care pt 2

Ask Your Chiropractor

THE following is part two of compiled quotes about the remarkable human body, and how chiropractic care can and does help people everywhere achieve their goals of natural wellness and function without pain and symptoms, and without drugs or surgery worldwide.

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, and in the cause and prevention of disease.” – Thomas Edison

“Posture affects and moderates every physiological function from breathing to hormonal production.” – American Journal of Pain Management

“Good nutrition will prevent 95 per cent of all disease.” – Linus Pauling

“Medicine is the study of disease and what causes a man to die. Chiropractic is the study of health and wellness, and what causes a man to live an optimal life.” – Cherish Your Health

“All body systems would be immobilized without the nervous system. It controls and regulates every body activity down to the workings of the tiniest cell.” – World Book Encyclopedia of Science

“Ninety-five per cent of infants have subluxations after birth. Chiropractic is shown to relax muscular tension, improve sleep, can reduce colic symptoms and can improve breastfeeding outcomes in newborn.” – Don’t you think you should consider Chiropractic for your children?

“Ninety per cent of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine.” – Chiro Practice

“It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than to know what sort of disease a person has.” – Unknown author

“The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.” – Voltaire

“Aging and degenerative changes are not synonymous.” – Harry Farfan, MD

“I’ve been going to chiropractors for as long as I can remember.” – Tiger Woods

“For every inch of head forward posture, it can increase the weight of the head on the spine by an additional 10 pounds.” – Dr Adalbert Kapandji, Physiology of Joints

“As a professional athlete, I am highly competitive – only accept the best. When it comes to healthcare, chiropractic is an essential service. It keeps my on-field performance at its highest level and contributes to the success of the entire team.” – Reggie Bush

“Back surgery has over a 50 per cent failure rate, as documented by major medical journals. Don’t even think about going under the knife until you have had a chiropractor evaluate your spine.” – Wisdom

“Loss of cervical curve stretches the spinal cord five to seven cm and produces pathological tension, putting the body in a state of disease.” – Alf Breig, MD

“Comparing the health and wellness of 200 children under chiropractic care to 200 children under conventional medical care revealed that the chiropractic group had fewer ear infections, fewer allergies, fewer cases of tonsillitis and asthma. The health of the children under chiropractic care was demonstrably superior to the children who had not received it.” – Chiropractic Research Journal

“People under regular chiropractic care use 53 per cent less drugs than those not under care.” – Health Tip of the Day

“Senior citizens who receive chiropractic care report better overall health, fewer chronic conditions, less days in hospitals and nursing homes, and greater mobility than elderly non-chiropractic patients. With the expected increase in the number of senior citizens over the next 30 years, managed care executives and other decision makers should investigate the implications of this study and the cost-savings potential that Chiropractic care can offer.” – Rand Corporation Study

“Carrying a load weighing more than 20 per cent of his body weight (such as a heavy book bag) subjects a child to serious spinal problems.” – The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons

“Subluxation alone is a rational reason for chiropractic care throughout a lifetime from birth.” Dr Lee Hadley, Syracuse Memorial Hospital

“One of the first duties of the physician is to educate the masses not to take medicine.” – William Osler, described as the Father of Modern Medicine

“The best immune system is in the body, not in the lab.” – Dr CS Gonstead

“Chronic use of aspirin actually promotes chronic headaches.” – Lee Kudrow, MD, California Center for Headaches

“Subluxation is very real. We have documented it to the extent that no one can dispute its existence. The weight of a small coin on a spinal nerve will reduce nerve transmission by as much as 60 per cent.” – Chang Ha Suh, PhD, Spinal Biomechanics Expert, University of Colorado

“I did a lot of things to stay in the game, but regular visits to my chiropractor were among the most important.” – Jerry Rice, American Pro Footballer Hall of Fame, NFL Blue Ribbon Panel Greatest Player of All Time

“Those are the guys that put me on the field when I didn’t think I had a chance to be on the field. These are professionals, and God put them in my life for a reason.” – Terrell Owens

“The greatest medicine of all is to teach people not to use it.” – The Farmacy

“The beauty of chiropractic is that it words with natural means, puts nothing new or foreign into the body, nor does it take away any natural gland or organ; but, simply releases life forces within the body, setting free rivulets of energy over nerves letting nature do her work in a normal manner.” – Unidentified very wise historical man of renown

“Medical doctors can’t cure anything and chiropractors can’t cure anything. All the scientists and doctors in the world don’t have the wisdom and understanding to heal a blade of grass – but chiropractic unleashes your body’s potential for its God-given ability to heal itself.” – Dr Reggie Gold

“The natural force in each one of us is the greatest force in getting well.” – Hippocrates (Ironically enough, Hippocrates was an ancient Greek physician in the Age of Pericles, considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of medicine. He is often referred to as “The Father of Medicine” in recognition of his lasting contributions to the field as the founder of the Hippocratic School of Medicine.

“A man’s health can be judged by which he takes two at a time – pills or stairs.” – Joan Welsh

Readers, I hope you have found some simplicity and enlightenment in the first two parts of this topic. I will continue this topic until I have used the reserves I have.

Let me close this segment by saying that taking pain pills daily is like putting a piece of tape over a check engine light. While the “symptom” or warning notification may be masked and out of sight and mind, the underlying cause of the problem has not been addressed or corrected, and manifestation over time will at some point result in a breakdown — most likely an irreparable one. It is also better to repair or replace a tyre with a slow leak than to air it up over and over again. At some point it will fail. With a machine, the cost and damage may not greatly affect you. With your body and nervous system, this is a much more impacting reality.

A vehicle can immediately or eventually be replaced; or, alternative methods of travel can be sought out. You only get one nervous system to regulate everything about you, and one spine to protect and facilitate that master regulation. Please take care of it even as you would a material object – and even more so. You have the innate power within to heal and to stay healthy. The chiropractor, “The Spinal Mechanic”, can help you achieve that without drugs or surgery in most cases. If you try it, you may very well discover that it is a Godsend. If you choose not to, you literally could have everything important to lose.

I am here for you. Please use me.

Don’t forget to “Ask Your Chiropractor” every week where your questions may be published and answered in subsequent articles. Address questions to: Dr Chris Davis, the Spinal Mechanic at movethebone@gmail.com; or, Dr Michael Harvey, director, at dr.michael_harvey@yahoo.com or visit www.drharveychiropractic.com and search for Dr Chris Davis on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
