Bloomfield supporters threaten to support the JLP
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Comrades from East Portland today staged a mini protest outside the National Arena in Kingston, at the 77th staging of the People’s National Party annual conference.
The Comrades were protesting against the recent decision, following a selection process in that constituency, for attorney-at-law Andrea Moore to be the standard bearer for the PNP in the next general election.
The protesters in support of sitting Member of Parliament Dr Lynvale Bloomfield said Moore was forced upon them and she’s not someone they want.
As a threat to the party, they expressed that if Dr Bloomfield is not returned to his post, both the MP and councillor seats in East Portland will be given to the Jamaica Labour Party in the upcoming general elections.
