Xquisite choice scores long overdue win
Xquisite Choice scored a long overdue win when he romped home in a Restricted Allowance event at Caymanas Park last Saturday. The consistent dark bay gelding was winning for the third time in his career and it was his first win in over a year.
Trained by Michael McIntosh and ridden by claiming apprentice Odeen Edwards, Xquisite Choice (Seeking The Glory – Ibelieveitsours) raced comfortably in mid-pack before he took control of the race turning for home to win easily by a length and a half in the 1,500 – metre event for nativebred four-year-olds and upward non-winners of three.
Black Boy (Hakeem Pottinger) finished second ahead of Princess Shemika (Robert Halledeen) in a time of 1:35:4 minutes. It was McIntosh’s fifth winner for the season from 56 starts.
