What kind of bird is that?

Denham Town Primary School pupil Dejanne Gilespie (left) is tickled with excitement as her schoolmate Tayjah Carter learns from Coordinator for Fauna at the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) Ricardo Miller and his colleague Damany Calder how to use a scope to look at birds up close.
Occasion was NEPA’s observance of International Migratory Bird Day, October 9, when it hosted students of Denham Town Primary on an excursion on Gun Boat Beach and the Old Coal Wharf, both in the Palisadoes Port Royal Protected Area, to count migratory sea birds. The students identified five species of birds.
