Patient accidentally shot at KPH
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A patient at the Kingston Public Hospital was this morning accidentally shot and injured after the firearm of a warden went off at the medical institution.
Reports are that warden was at the hospital guarding an inmate at the time of the incident.
“The warden was guarding an inmate at the hospital and was about to be relieved by another colleague when he attempted to remove his firearm and it went off,” said a police source.
Police have since launched a probe into the matter.
