Portia tells mass rally PNP is ready
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime minister and leader of the People’s National Party (PNP), Portia Simpson Miller, says she is confident that the PNP will be victorious in the next general election.
Speaking at a PNP mass rally held on Sunday in Annotto Bay, St Mary, the party leader said she has met with workers in Region Three who are confident that when they go to the polls they will be victorious.
“Tonight I come to Region Two to find out if you are ready. Are you ready? Are you ready?” Simpson Miller said as she addressed thousands of comrades at the gathering.
Simpson Miller maintained that along the length and breadth of Jamaica, people have told her they trust the PNP and that the government she leads has performed and is doing its best on behalf of the people.
Simpson Miller added that there are many achievements her party can be proud of, citing the North South Highway, new bridges, the refurbishing of hospitals, infrastructure, upgrading of noted places and institutions, job creation, home titles, and tourism investments in each parish as examples.
