Jamaicans walk for the climate
MORE than 1,500 people joined Environmental Solutions Limited on October 24 — the International Day of Climate Action– when it staged Jamaica’s Climate Walk in Kingston under the theme Walk for Health Stand for Earth.
Participants trekked from Emancipation Park up Knutsford Boulevard, onto Trafalgar Road, down Hope Road, down Half-Way-Tree Road, and back to Emancipation Park via Oxford Road. The intention was to heighten public awareness about the impact of climate change, as well as mitigation and adaptation measures.
