Biggest UK cruise ship docks in Jamaica for first time
ST ANN, Jamaica —The Britannia, the largest in the fleet of the P&O Cruises docked in Ocho Rios on Thursday with approximately 6000 passengers and crew on board.
More than 1000 people had disembarked from the nine-month-old ship before midday on Thursday; this included the ship’s captain.
Several stakeholders in Ocho Rios along with representatives from Lannaman and Morris Shipping, the ship’s agent in Jamaica, went on board the vessel about 10:30 am where they were hosted at a plaque exchange ceremony.
