East Kingston men held in major gang bust
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police this morning arrested four men suspected of being involved in several cases of extortion and other gang-related activities in Kingston.
The men will be questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
Major Organised Crime and Anti-corruption Agency (MOCA) reports that the arrests were made as part of an operation currently underway in Eastern Kingston, which is the culmination of a lengthy and complex investigation into gang leadership, membership and associated offences.
The operation began about 4:00 am and is being carried out by detectives from MOCA, Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation (C-TOC), members of Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Mobile Reserve, Canine Division and Search Centre as well as the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).
