Western Confed KO resumes today
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Former Western Confederation Super League campaigners Catherine Hall FC and Tomorrow’s People will meet at the UDC field today in the second round of the St James Football Association Captain’s Bakery and Grill Knockout.
Kick-off is set for 3:00pm.
Also today, Melbourne FC and Mountain Villa are to square off at Albion for a place in the quarterfinals, set to start next week.
All four teams were among the 10 first-round winners. Catherine Hall and Tomorrow’s People had close wins over strong teams.
Catherine Hall edged Seba FC 1-0 thanks to an extra-time goal, while Tomorrow’s People got by Somerton FC 2-1 in the final game of the first round.
Melbourne FC had beaten Lilliput Rovers 2-0 in their first-round game and the reward is a match-up against another team from the same geographical area — Mountain Villa, who beat Irwin 2-0.
