FLOW opens new-look customer experience centre in Portmore

TELECOMMUNICATIONS firm, FLOW, has launched its second Customer Experience Centre in Jamaica; this time in the municipality of Portmore, St Catherine.

The remodelling of the Portmore Mall location, the company said, followed closely on the heels of the opening of the company’s Montego Bay location, “the first-of-its-kind flagship store across its markets in the region”.

“The new retail experience combines interactive, technologically-advanced features, self-help facilities and newly trained customer agents,” FLOW said. “This is a major step towards becoming number one with customers throughout the region and underscores FLOW’s mission to drive and deliver a totally transformed customer experience,” it added.

The new concept store has an expanded floor plan equipped with state-of-the-art, user-friendly facilities. The modern amenities include bill-payment kiosks, a home-entertainment zone, and an automated, central customer-queue system among many other features to facilitate self-help and customer comfort.

Stephen Price, head of retail sales and distribution at FLOW, said the opening of the new Portmore location is a part of the company’s thrust to revitalise its customer touchpoints and align with FLOW’s customer-centric brand promise.

“We are very proud to be able to take this world-class look and feel as well as our one-of-a-kind in-store experience to yet another high-traffic, high-value metropolitan area for our business. The people of Portmore are among the first to experience FLOW’s world-class service delivery and customer-focussed roll-out. As we build on our new service excellence template, we will continue to aggressively work to deliver the best-in-industry service in retail and service for our customers,”Price said.

Modelling an ultra-modern approach to telecommunications products, the new FLOW customer experience centre encourages direct interaction between customers and the displayed handsets while also allowing customers to charge their personal devices as they browse. The store also provides self-service options for customers through an automated bill-payment kiosk where customers can settle their accounts by cash or credit card without the hassle of joining a queue.

At the same time, the 10 new devices launched for the Christmas season — ranging from Samsung Galaxy S6, to the iPhones, Apple Watches and Huawei handsets — now form the central display in the newly opened location.

FLOW has more than 90 company-owned and dealer locations islandwide. It said in a release that it is envisioned that, over time, all medium-sized retail stores and small dealers will deliver the same branded customer experience.

The new look Portmore store is located at Shop 2A Portmore Mall.

A young customer tries out the Deezer music app which is free to all FLOW mobile customers.
