What a night!
teenAGE rating: 5/5
What a night it was as popular Reggae artiste Chronixx kicked off the Spanish Town leg of his three-day Capture Land tour, part two, at the Jose Marti Technical High School.Blaze Up the Fire. At this point, everyone was jumping and screaming and firing shots. That was the song that got the most forward for the night.
The night took off from an incredible height with Jesse Royal who trampled down ‘Babylon’ with his powerful lyrics. His performance had the crowd in full participation and set the pace for the star of the night to take over. Chronixx’s entire performance was blissful, energetic and extremely lyrical as he sang his many hit singles with ease.
A bit later in the show, Kelissa was welcomed to the stage, to perform “winner” alongside Chronixx as she entertained us with her nightingale notes. The Zinc Fence redemption band, was as usual amazing. All the members of the band were so energetic and engaged, but all eyes were on percussionist Hector B, as he moved, twisted, sang, and danced while handling his tambourine and other percussion intruments.
The highest point of the show was towards the end, where Chronixx sang his Major Lazer hit
There weren’t really any low points.
Turnout was fairly good, the support was good and the event was well promoted. Capture Land part two deserves a solid 5/5. I would definitely attend the other shows and maybe upcoming shows next year.
