Fusion at the Boat Dock
JULIUS Richards, organiser of Fusion, is expecting a bumper crowd for tonight’s staging at the Boat Dock at 3B Port Royal Street in Kingston.
“Patrons will turn out to Fusion because it is the hottest party for the weekend. Over the years, it has proven itself to be a very nice, affordable party,” Richards told the Jamaica Observer.
Now in its fourth year, Fusion caters to hardcore dancehall lovers. Last year’s staging brought out about 800 patrons.
“It is for the hardcore dancehall lovers, with a vibe similar to a Weddy Weddy or Passa Passa,” he said.
The promoter said the experience should be a better one as the venue has been renovated.
Music will be provided by top dancehall selectors such as Fire Links, Boom Boom, Tony Matterhorn, and DJ Fire Reds from Miami. Local celebrities are also expected to attend this party, as over the years Fusion has hosted big names in dancehall including Beenie Man and Bounty Killer.
“We’re not worried about any event clashing with ours, as when theirs ends, that is when our party will just be getting nice,” he added.
