Chris Brown in controversy again
It seems like singer Chris Brown has to start his new year off differently than most folks.
Brown is being investigated for potential battery on a woman in Las Vegas on Saturday January 2.
According to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, shortly after 10 a.m at the Palms Casino Resort, officers responded to a report of battery where a woman who appeared to have minor injuries sustained as a result of battery was found. However Nicole Perna, publicist for the pop star issued a statement saying the allegations were “unequivocally untrue”.
The statement said an investigation showed that a disagreement took place at a party inside a room at the hotel when the woman tried to take a photograph of Brown. The victim claimed to have been battered by the singer who at the same time took her cellphone. Perna stated that the woman was escorted out of the party for being disruptive and out of control and had a meltdown-throwing her purse to the ground while waiting in the hallway for Brown’s security to return her phone. She also stated that the Palms Casio Resort security saw the wild behaviour on the hotel’s security cameras and immediately escorted her out of the hotel.
The singer took to Instagram posting a photo with the caption “Keeping my circle small in 2016! I’m done taking the care of grown ass men,” he said. “And I’m going to be hella rich after all the lawsuits I file from these crazy individuals who keep lying on my name. Happy NEW YEAR! Time for some of us to grow the f–k up!”
A similar incident occurred in 2012 as Brown was accused of taking a woman’s phone after the she allegedly tried to take a photo of him in a Miami club. The case was dismissed.
