RJR AWARDS: Williams-Mills receives Chairman’s Award

KINGSTON, Jamaica – World Championship gold medallist Novlene Williams-Mills was a short while ago named the recipient of the Chairman’s Award at the RJR Sports Foundation National Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards.

The 33-year-old three-time Olympian was the first person to cop an award at the ceremony now under way at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.

Williams-Mills, who courageously won her battle with cancer in 2013, won her latest battle on the track when she beat American Francena McCorory to hand Jamaica gold in the 4x400m at the Beijing World Championships in China last year.
