DOUBLE FOR GRAHAM AND O’SHAUN CONNECTION

The combination of in-form trainer Neive Graham and popular owner O’Shaun Connection posted a fine double on last Saturday’s nine-race programme.

They opened the card with 1-4 favourite

Italiano in the running of the James B Dawes Memorial Trophy feature. Ridden by Omar Walker,Italiano ran out an easy five-length winner overGolden Bullet (Dane Nelson) going over 1,300 metres in 1:20:1 minutes.

The pair then closed the double in the fourth race with

Persian Belle, ridden by Kerry-Gayl Robinson.Persian Belle won by six-and-a-half lengths overPerfect Flyer (Shane Ellis) going over 1,820 metres. The winning time was 2:02:1 minutes.

TWELVE HORSES CLAIMED ON SATURDAY

The claiming box drew massive attention last Saturday as 12 claims were made on the nine-race programme.

Golden Bullet was claimed from Gary Subratie by Neive Graham for O’Shaun Connection for $450,000, whileItaliano was claimed from Neive Graham by Dennis Lee acting as both trainer and owner, also for $450,000 from the first race.

Brown Girl was claimed from Randolph Scott by Maurice Crooks for himself for $250,000;Above The Radar was claimed by Lorne Kirlew for himself for $250,000 from Lawrence Freemantle;Water Waves was claimed by Rohan Mathie for Vincent Mane from Johnny Wilmot for $250,000 andPersian Belle was taken from Neive Graham by Donovan Plummer acting as both trainer and owner for $250,000.

Flying Miracle was claimed from Victor Williams by Nevie Graham for O’Shaun Connection for $350,000;Brave Prospect was claimed from Patrick Fong by Delroy Spencer for Andre S Adams for $350,000 andDoc Holiday was taken from Andrew McDonald by Robert Darby Sr for himself, also for $350,000 from the fifth race.

In the sixth race on an $180,000 claiming tag, The Lawrence Freemantle-trained

After 19 attempts, Sterri’s Choice finally released the maiden tags at Caymanas Park last Saturday.
