NJ JNBS Sunshine Open League continues this weekend

Several teams find themselves in crucial matches as they go in chase of places in the quarter-final knockout stage as the 2016 Netball Jamaica(NJ)/Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Sunshine Open League continues today at the Leila Robinson Courts starting at 1:00 pm.

Defending champions Mico ‘B’ (15 points) face Tivoli Gardens (18 points) in a very crucial game to decide who will top Group Two. Both teams are currently unbeaten and the game is scheduled to start at 4:20 pm.

Another very important clash is between Mico ‘A’ (15 points) and University College of Technology (UTech) Knights (15 points), with both teams unbeaten in Group Six. Match time is 5:00 pm.

Waulgrovians ‘A’ (15 points) and Molynes United ‘B’ (15 points) should have a keen battle between themselves as to who will emerge winner of Group Four. Game time is 5:40 pm.

UWI Pelicans (15 points) should easily emerge winners of Group One despite having to play two matches today against New Kingston Raiders and Mico ‘C’.

Police ‘A’ (18 points) look well set to capture Group Five top place. They will face Molynes ‘C’ before taking on Blades United ‘A’ to complete their preliminary round of matches.

Jamalco (15 points), who lost defending champions Mico ‘B’ in the final last year, will be involved in two matches, one against Liguanea United at 3:00 pm, while the other will be the crucial encounter with Waulgrovians ‘B’ (15 points) to decide the winner of the Group Eight. Before meeting Jamalco, Waulgrovians ‘B’ will take on Arnett Gardens (15 points) that could see them in a keenly contested affair.

Molynes ‘A’ (18 points) and Alpha ‘A’ (15 points) are the two teams hunting to finish at the top in Group Seven when they face each other tomorrow at 6:20 pm. Both teams are currently unbeaten with Alpha ‘A’ also down to play SKIBO at 4:20 pm, before taking on Molynes ‘A’ in that important encounter.

Cablepro (18 points) and Raven ‘A’ (15 points) will be going for top spot in Group Three in their final match against each other in the preliminary rounds tomorrow afternoon.

Matches scheduled this afternoon are: Jetsetters vs Mico ‘B’; Blades United ‘B’ vs Upper Camp; Duhaney Park ‘A’ vs Tivoli Gardens; SPEG ‘B’ vs Waterhouse Eagles at 1:00 pm.

At 1:40 pm, UTech Knights vs Top Mountain Flames; Ocho Rios vs Mico ‘A’; Duhaney Park ‘C’ vs Westchester ‘B’.

Raven ‘B’ vs Friendship; Queens Park vs Alpha ‘B’; Waulgrovians ‘A’ vs Duhaney Park ‘B’ at 2:20 pm.

At 3:00 pm, Blades United ‘A’ vs Drewsland; Sports and Games ‘A’ vs Progressive Strikers; Police ‘A’ vs Molynes ‘C’; Rose Town vs Wolmer’s ‘B’.

At 3:40 pm, Jobs Lane ‘A’ vs EXED Saints; Westchester ‘A’ vs Mico ‘C’; UWI Pelicans vs New Kingston Raiders; Police ‘C’ vs SPEG ‘A’.

Tivoli Gardens vs Mico ‘B’; Waterhouse Eagles vs Hagley Park; SPEG ‘B’ vs Blades United ‘B’; Duhaney Park ‘A’ vs Jetsetters at 4:20 pm.

At 5:00 pm, Mico ‘A’ vs UTech Knights; Global United vs Westchester ‘B’; Ocho Rios Magics vs Top Mountain Flames.

Waulgrovians ‘A’ vs Molynes United ‘B’; Queens Park vs Raven ‘B’; Fresh Approach vs Friendship; Alpha ‘B’ vs Duhaney Park ‘B’ at 5:40 pm.

At 6:20 pm, Police ‘A’ vs Blades United ‘’A’; Tryall Heights vs Wolmer’s ‘B’; Drewsland vs Progressive Strikers; Roe Town vs Sports and Games ‘A’.

Mico ‘C’ vs UWI Pelicans; SPEG ‘A’ vs Pembroke Hall ‘A’; EXED Saints vs Police ‘C’; New Kingston Raiders vs Jobs Lane ‘A’ at 7:00 pm.

Waulgrovians ‘B’ vs Arnett Gardens; Maxfield Park vs Kens Wildflower; Liguanea United vs Jamalco at 3:00 pm tomorrow, while at 3:40 pm, Police ‘B’ vs Tantrum; Ebony Strikers vs Cablepro; Sports and Games ‘B’ vs Blades United ‘C’; Raven ‘A’ vs Alexander Strikers.

Jamaica Defence Force vs Rollington Town; Alpha ‘A’ vs SKIBO; Wolmer’s ‘A’ vs Flying Angels ‘B’ at 4:20 pm. At 5:00 pm, Jamalco vs Waulgrovians ‘B’; Flying Angels ‘A’ vs Liguanea United.; Maxfield Park v Payneland.

At 5:40 pm, Raven ‘A’ vs Cablepro; Police ‘B’ vs Southboro; Ebony Strikers v Sports and Games ‘B’; Tantrum vs Blades United ‘C’. At 6:20 pm, Alpha ‘A’ vs Molynes United ‘A’; Wolmer’s ‘A’ vs Rollington Town; SKBO ‘B’ vs Flying Angels ‘B’.
