Camperdown Classics for National Stadium Saturday
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The fourth episode of the Digicel Grand Prix series will take the spotlight at the 12th staging of the Camperdown Classics inside the National Stadium on Saturday.
The meet is slated to get under way at 8:15 am.
A number of athletes from several top high schools such as Calabar, St George’s, Jamaica College, St Jago, Vere Technical, Manchester and Cornwall College among others will contest the 100m, 400m, 800m, 4x400m, high jump and long jump Grand Prix events.
The grand finale of the series is scheduled to take place at the GC Foster Classics on February 20, where the boys’ and girls’ champion teams will win $1 million each in gym equipment. The top male and female coaches will walk away with $50,000 each.
The top two athletes from each event from the first five meets will earn the first six spots in the finals. There will be two wildcard positions for the two next best athletes from any meet.
