Higha Craab Muzik pursuing the dream
Music fans familiar with the Whitehall Avenue area of St Andrew, knows it is where brand artistes like Buju Banton, Flourgon and Red Dragon got their start.
Higha Craab Muzik is among the new wave of artistes emerging from the community. While they acknowledge Whitehall’s heritage, the trio’s first song, Like a Dream, is not dancehall.
“We do dancehall but we go for an international flavour which is what Like a Dream is. We do dancehall but we don’t limit ourselves,” said group member Orlando ‘C9’ Peach.
Clayton ‘PAC’ Campbell and Rohan ‘Flair’ Green are the other members of Higha Craab Muzik which has been around for over 10 years.
Like a Dream is produced by Oliver ‘DJ Tarus’ Young from Nottingham, England, for his label, Tarus Productions.
The members of Higha Craab Muzik have similar musical influences. They include hardcoreartistes like Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Mavado and Vybz Kartel.
