OMI for local show
JAMAICAN international hitmaker OMI is slated to be the guest performer at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Saturday, February 27.
The concert is the first in its series since the hotel opened its doors to guests in July 2015.
“We are excited about our upcoming concert on February 27, which will be the first of many performances at our new home in Jamaica, with the local community that has consistently supported Palace Resort’s entry into the Caribbean market,” said Gibran Chapur, executive vice-president of Palace Resorts.
The Clarendon-born OMI rose to international prominence with a remix of Cheerleader. Cheerleader has been certified triple platinum (sales of over three million copies in the US). It went six times platinum in Sweden, four times platinum in Australia, two times platinum in Denmark, three times platinum in Germany, double platinum in the UK, and two times platinum in Canada. It was certified gold in South Africa.
He’s also slated to perform songs from his new album Me 4 U.
Tickets can be purchased at 70-72 Lady Musgrave Road, Kingston 10.
Other acts booked to perform at the 17-acre property are Shaggy (April 9) and Magic (July 30).
