The Accountant General Department (AGD) is urging pensioners who have not submitted their life certificates for the January to March quarter, to do so as soon as possible, or risk non-disbursement of their pension payments.

Client services manager at the AGD, Tanisha Weir Grant, says thousands of pensioners are at risk of not receiving their pensions this month, after failing to submit their life certificates on time for the quarter.

“Currently, we are seeing that we have about 3,000 pensioners who will be suspended for this month. So, we are asking all our pensioners who have not submitted their life certificates to please do so by at least March 11. If they can come in by Thursday, March 10, then we can accommodate them on the payroll for this month,” Weir Grant said.
